We are proud of our academic achievements at Longfield Academy and 2023 results demonstrate our commitment to supporting all of our children to achieve their potential.

The score of -0.09 made us the second highest achieving school for progress in Darlington. This is a significant achievement against a backdrop of a cyber incident in December 2022 that was not fully resolved until March 2023.

We are also proud of the fact that most of our pupils are supported to stay in education or employment.

Since joining SWIFT Academies in Spring 2018, Longfield Academy has seen its progress figure improve by circa +0.52.

This result demonstrates the commitment our staff have to ensuring that the children of Longfield Academy have the best possible life chances. Our academic success has been achieved due to the dedication and hard work of the children and staff, coupled with the open engagement and efforts of the parent community; we are united by a strong desire for our
young people to get the best opportunities moving forward.
