#WeAreLongfield

Vision Statement

We aspire to embrace the challenges of creating a happy and successful adult life, students need knowledge that will enable them to make informed decisions about their well-being, health and relationships and to build their self-efficacy. Students can also put this knowledge into practice as they develop the capacity to make sound decisions when facing risks, challenges and complex contexts.

Our WeAreLongfield Curriculum personalises the components of PSHE, Relationships and Sex Education, Citizenship, Personal Development, assemblies and key dates to create one cohesive package for our pupils at Longfield Academy

Curriculum Time and Assessment

At Longfield Academy we understand the importance of the uniqueness of the WeAreLongfield curriculum, therefore the below time is given to emerge the elements into the their daily life:

  • KS3 pupils receive one hour a week.
  • KS4 pupils receive one hour a fortnight.
  • All pupils receive a further 20 minutes a day of WeAreLongfield daily.

The curriculum overview (LTP) highlights a spiral programme so that the students are introduced to topics, knowledge and skills in an age and stage appropriate way. Students are assessed at the end of each module to check the growth in knowledge and also the development of skills and attitudes.
